A cold plate mounts directly on the CPU or GPU. Coolant flows through the plate and carries heat out of the package, so most of the load never enters the room as hot air. The room air system only handles what is left.
Heat is captured at the package, where it is generated.
Supports rack densities that air cooling cannot reach.
Fits existing rooms without rebuilding the structure.
PUE below 1.1 is achievable with cold plate designs, against roughly 1.4–1.5 for conventional air cooling.
Send rack count, current density and what your room can carry.
